Deputy Speaker - Benjamin Kalu.
National Public Hearing on the Constitution Alteration Bills in Abuja. The true strength of our nation lies in the willingness of its people to shape their own destiny. Today, Nigerians demonstrated that strength as they turned out in great numbers to participate in the National Public Hearing on the Constitution Alteration Bills in Abuja.

This was not just another gathering, it was a powerful expression of unity and the beauty of our diversity. The Bills considered reflect the genuine needs and aspirations of our people, and I assure Nigerians that they will undergo rigorous scrutiny at the plenary, harmonization with the Senate, and the crucial approval of at least 24 State Houses of Assembly.

Constitutional reform is not a sprint but a marathon, and today marks a defining step in that journey.I extend my sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership, the State Governors for their immense contributions, the leadership of the National Assembly Senate President Sen. Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, GCON, Speaker of the House of Representatives and my colleagues in the House Committee on Constitution Review for their tireless commitment.

Finally, I thank all stakeholders: traditional rulers, civil society groups, persons with disabilities, the labour force, faith leaders, business and interest groups, and every Nigerian who lent their voice to this process. Your participation reaffirms that this Constitution belongs to the people, and together, we will shape a Nigeria that is stronger, fairer, and truer to the aspirations of her citizens.
