The Nigeria Police Force has announced the theft of one of its official vehicles, a Toyota Buffalo Land Cruiser, from the premises of the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The vehicle, with chassis number JTELU71JX0B027126 and registration number NPF 5594 D, went missing on July 28, 2025.
Civilians have urged the Force headquarters and Police authorities to remain calm as they call on well meaning Nigerians nationwide to be on the lookout for the missing vehicle.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced the mother and sister of suspected terrorist kingpin Kachallah Ibrahim Battujo to a combined 40 years imprisonment for terrorism-related offences. Justice Hauwa Yilwa convicted the two women, Safiya Salihu and Halima Abdullahi, after they pleaded guilty to charges including aiding the activities of a terrorist group and concealing information about criminal operations. The court ordered that the sentences run concurrently and directed that the convicts undergo rehabilitation after serving their terms.
The Ondo State Police Command has commenced a large-scale search operation following the abduction of community leader and traditional ruler, Adeniyi Adelana, from Ode Eriya Village in Owo Local Government Area. The gunmen reportedly invaded his residence on Friday night, kidnapped him through a nearby bush path, and shot his wife in the hand. Security operatives have intensified efforts across the area as authorities work to secure his safe rescue and apprehend the perpetrators.
