Photos of Gov. Uzodimma’s Legacy Projects Scheduled for Commissioning in Imo by President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived Owerri, the capital of Imo State, on Tuesday, September 30, to commission a series of projects completed under Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration and to participate in the launch of a book authored by the governor.A statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the President on information and strategy, confirmed the visit.“

President Bola Tinubu will today pay a working visit to Owerri, Imo State, where he will commission several legacy projects by Governor Hope Uzodimma and launch a book authored by the Governor,” the statement read.The projects slated for commissioning include the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel, the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Asumpta Flyover, and the Imo Digital Learning Centre, described as “state-of-the-art” by the Presidency.

Onanuga said these initiatives “underscore the shared commitment of the Federal and State Government to infrastructure renewal, modernisation, and sustainable development.”

In addition to physical infrastructure, the Presidency highlighted Uzodimma’s digital and youth empowerment initiatives, including the MylmoApp, the Imo Digital City, and the SkillUplmo Techosphere remote-work platform. “Already, more than 40,000 young people have been trained in cutting-edge digital skills, shifting from dependence on handouts to becoming globally competitive wealth creators,” the statement added.

The Orashi Free Trade Zone, which has attracted over seven oil and gas companies, was also cited as an example of the synergy between the federal government’s industrialisation agenda and Uzodimma’s development strategy in Imo.

“Governor Uzodimma’s unmatched progress in infrastructure, technology, and youth empowerment not only defines his legacy in Imo State but also demonstrates the living impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement said.

The President is expected to join other dignitaries in launching Uzodimma’s book, A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu’s visit “is a celebration of partnership and progress; proof that Imo State is actively contributing to the national vision of innovation, opportunity, and prosperity for all Nigerians.”
