“They Can Demolish My Radio Station, But They Cannot Destroy Oriyomi” — Hamzat
The 2027 Accord gubernatorial candidate, Oriyomi Hamzat, has declared that no act of intimidation or political pressure can weaken his resolve to pursue his political ambition. Hamzat made the statement during a live broadcast on his verified Facebook page, where he addressed concerns surrounding what he described as attempts by certain interests to frustrate his activities.
According to him, he is aware that some individuals who are uncomfortable with his growing political influence may be working behind the scenes to intimidate him. However, he maintained that such actions would not deter him from standing by his principles or continuing his engagement with the people.
Hamzat stated that while physical structures, including his radio station in Ibadan, could be targeted or demolished, his identity, convictions and commitment to public service cannot be destroyed. He stressed that true leadership is built on courage, ideas and the trust of the people rather than on buildings or material possessions.
The Accord gubernatorial hopeful further insisted that he would not surrender to fear or political pressure, adding that challenges and opposition are part of the journey for anyone seeking to bring change. He reaffirmed his determination to remain focused on his vision and continue advocating for the interests of the people.
He urged his supporters and the public to remain calm, emphasizing that his political movement is driven by a deeper purpose beyond personal interests. Hamzat noted that attempts to silence voices of change often strengthen the resolve of those committed to their cause.
As the 2027 political season gradually takes shape, Hamzat’s comments have added to ongoing conversations about political participation, freedom of expression and the challenges faced by emerging political figures. LET THE CONVERSATION BEGIN!
