My fellow Nigerians,

You will recall that I cancelled my trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa so I could personally coordinate our national security efforts at home.

Thanks to the dedication and bravery of our security forces over the past few days, all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been successfully rescued.

I am equally relieved to report that 51 of the missing students of the Catholic school in Niger State have been recovered. Efforts are ongoing to ensure that every remaining child is brought home safely.

I am closely monitoring the security situation across the country and receiving continuous updates from those on the frontline.

Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety and peace. Under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.

Just In: SMART SCHOOL OR SMART LOOTING? ANOTHER RECEIPT FROM IGBERE

This image is Elu-Okwe Primary School in Amaukwu Igbere, Bende LGA—a living, breathing school, not a rumour or propaganda. Yet the Abia State Government claimed it was demolished because it had been awarded for upgrade to a smart school. Today, no smart school exists. The roof is failing, classrooms leak, and pupils still run for cover whenever it rains. Despite community appeals for urgent renovation, intervention was halted on the grounds that the project had been “awarded.” Months later, nothing has happened. This raises serious questions about the state’s claim of spending ₦100 billion on public school repairs. Smart schools do not disappear, and infrastructure does not exist only on paper. Abia people are no longer asking for explanations—they are demanding results. Where are the smart schools?

The Office of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives has dismissed as false and misleading the Abia State Government’s claims concerning infrastructure projects attracted by Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu. The office clarified that the land along the Umuahia–Bende Road was communally donated, not allocated by the state government, and described allegations of unauthorized demolition of school facilities as baseless. It further accused the Otti administration of deliberate propaganda aimed at undermining genuine development efforts, while reaffirming the Deputy Speaker’s commitment to attracting critical infrastructure to Abia State in the interest of the people.
