Yesterday, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, PhD, CFR, attended the South East Stakeholders Meeting of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Enugu State.

At the meeting, he reiterated the urgent need for unity across the Southern political corridor as we work together to consolidate the gains of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and secure victory for the APC in 2027.

He made it clear that politics is a game of numbers and strategy, not sentiments. The South East must invest its votes where they will yield real political returns. By standing firmly with President Tinubu and the South West today, we are building the trust, alliances, and reciprocity that will place our region at the center of national decision-making tomorrow.

He also commended the Governors for their commitment to strengthening our party in the region, and called on all APC leaders to mobilize massively for the ongoing e-registration and Continuous Voter Registration exercises.

According to the Kalu, our strength as a party lies in our numbers, and our numbers determine our political power.

To Ndi Igbo, he said, it is time to be strategic. We cannot continue to be swayed by emotional choices that yield no political capital. Let us invest our votes wisely.
