BREAKING: Enugu Governor Peter Mbah Dumps PDP for APC
Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Mbah announced his defection during a state-wide broadcast on Tuesday, citing the need to align Enugu with the Federal Government as the major reason for his decision.

He said the move became necessary to “connect Enugu State to the centre” and ensure that the state continues to benefit from federal support for its development agenda.
The governor also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his inclusive leadership and people-oriented policies, noting that Enugu has witnessed “massive support” from the current administration.

Mbah’s defection did not come alone, as members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, local government chairmen, councillors, and other top officials were said to have moved with him to the ruling party.
His exit from the PDP is expected to be followed by that of Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, whose defection to the APC, sources said, has already been finalised.
It would be recalled that Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno had earlier joined the ruling party with their respective state officials and appointees.
