Old Bende Progressive Forum Does Not Speak for the People of Old Bende
Aba APC Chairmen, Club 17, Others Distance Themselves from Endorsement, Pledge Full Support for Tinubu and Deputy Speaker Kalu
The 24 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aba North and Aba South Local Government Areas, alongside the Club 17 Peace Initiative, Aba South Chapter, have dissociated themselves from the Old Bende Progressive Forum event recently held in Aba.

At a stakeholders’ meeting held in Aba, various speakers emphasized that the Old Bende Progressive Forum is merely a private organization whose opinions cannot be taken as the collective position of the people of Old Bende or of the APC family.
The meeting, hosted by the Coordinator of Club 17 Peace Initiative for Aba South LGA, Mr. Augustine Onyeama, had in attendance the 24 ward chairmen of the APC in Aba North and Aba South, business leaders, and representatives of various socio-cultural organizations.

In his remarks, Mr. Onyeama commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for their visionary leadership and ongoing reforms. He assured that the APC remains firmly established in Aba and across Abia State.

Also speaking, the Chairman of all APC Ward Chairmen in Aba North and Aba South reaffirmed the party’s readiness to mobilize its structures and grassroots support base, stressing that APC “is on ground and fully prepared to reclaim power in 2027.”
