Aba South APC LGA Congress was successfully held in a peaceful and well-coordinated atmosphere, marking another milestone for the All Progressives Congress in Abia State. Hon. Barr. Emeka Wogu, CON, was ably represented by Mr. Martin Onwumelu, alongside notable party leaders including Hon. Sir Abraham U. Oba (KSJI), Onye Uwaoma, Dr. C.C. Nwogu, Hon. Sunday Udeagha, Hon. Hope Ogbonna, Hon. Princess Peace Nwobilo, Hon. Darlington Ujumunna, and Hon. Chinedu Akpulonu (Kachocho), who was represented by Elder Chijioke Wogu. Their presence underscored the unity and strength of the party in Aba South.

The congress witnessed the official presence of the EO of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as well as operatives of the DSS, the Nigeria Police, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, ensuring a transparent, credible, and secure exercise. Their involvement further reinforced confidence in the process and demonstrated the party’s commitment to due process and internal democracy.

Party members, chieftains, and key stakeholders turned out in large numbers, showing enthusiasm and dedication as they gathered to elect new Local Government Area party leaders. The atmosphere reflected collective resolve and a shared vision to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of future political engagements in Aba South.

In his acceptance remarks, the APC Aba South Chairman-elect, Comrade Godfrey Iheanyi Mbakwe, pledged to lead with sincerity, honesty, and inclusiveness. He assured members that, by the special grace of God, his administration would be open to all and committed to delivering decisive victories for the All Progressives Congress in every election across Aba South.
