RIVERS ASSEMBLY PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON PRESIDENT TINUBU, URGE HIM TO RUN FOR SECOND TERM

The Rivers State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing a purposefully leadership and steering the affairs of the nation in the right direction

The lawmakers who made this resolution today during plenary also urged the president to run for a second term in office

Their resolution followed a motion moved by the leader of the house Hon Major Jack and 25 others

The lawmakers commended the President for his love for the people of Rivers State through the appointment of notable persons from the state into the federal government offices and positions as well as numerous federal government projects in the state that have been completed and ongoing such as the East West road, Bonny Bodo road and other projects

The lawmakers also commended the economic policies of the president which according to them have made more funds available for States and Local Governments making it possible for them able to pay salaries

They said even though the president is of the APC he has never discriminated against members of the PDP

They expressed confidence that through there are security challenges the president has demonstrated strong commitment to improved security nationwide and deserves prayers and support.

They Conveyed their unflinching support and unalloyed loyalty to the president through the FCT minister and political leader of Rivers State Nyesom Wike to the president as he continues to lead the country aright

They called on members of the 10th Assembly to immediately begin mobilization of their constituents in all the state constituencies for the renewed Hope Agenda

The speaker of the Assembly, Martin Amaewhule lauded the president for all his has done for the country describing him as a father

He also called for prayers for the president

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured a landslide victory in the Adamawa State local government elections, winning all 21 chairmanship seats and the 226 councillorship positions contested across the state.
