Tinubu Meets Six APC Governors At State House

In attendance were Sokoto Governor Ahmad Aliyu, Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Jigawa Governor Umar Namadi, Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris, Kogi Governor Usman Ododo, and Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo.

President Bola Tinubu on Monday received six governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.

The governors in attendance were Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo.

Although photographs from the meeting were released, details of their discussions were not immediately disclosed by the Presidency.

The results were announced in Yola by the Chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission, Mohammed Umar, following the completion of the collation process. Umar stated that the elections were successfully conducted across all 226 wards in the state, with the PDP emerging victorious in every contest. He commended the people of Adamawa for their peaceful conduct throughout the exercise and expressed gratitude to security agencies, election observers, political parties, and other stakeholders whose efforts contributed to the smooth and peaceful conduct of the polls.
