The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed a multi-billion-naira investment plan to expand 5G network coverage nationwide by the end of 2026. This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance digital transformation, support tech startups, and attract foreign investment in the ICT sector.

According to Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, the project will involve partnerships with leading telecom companies, infrastructure providers, and international tech firms to ensure seamless deployment.
